Guideline for the Finalists and E-Poster presenters

Guideline for the Finalists and E-Poster presenters

All presentation recordings must be recorded using Panopto only to avoid unfair disadvantage on the technological background.

The presentation can be in Thai or English. The judges are Thais and not particularly asked to communicate in English. Therefore, it is their decision to ask you in Thai or English.

Your presentation slides or e-poster (for e-poster presenters) should still be in English.

Finalists

  • Five finalists in each academic field will be chosen to be Oral Presenters and will have a chance to present their abstract to the judging panel on the competition day (Sunday 21st February 2021).
  • Each oral presentation session will be held in one of six different rooms based on each academic field (three sessions will be run at the same time).

  • The finalists must pre-record your presentation using Panopto. The guideline for how to use Panopto is here.
    • This platform requires no installation and allows you to simultaneously record both a speaker view and presentation slide view.
    • We strongly encourage you to include a speaker view, and you must have presentation slides.
    • Once recorded, please re-check the clarity of your voice and the visibility and readability of your slides.
  • The video must be no longer than 10 minutes (An overlength presentation will be penalised). Submit your presentation file in .mp4 format only.

E-Poster Presenter

  • E-poster presenters must deliver 1-minute presentation in the pitching session, follwed by presenting their e-poster in the e-poster session.
  • The 1-minute pitching session allows presenters to introduce their work to a panel of judges and the audience for exactly one minute. The aim is to attract people to inquire you further on your research at the Zoom breakout rooms, provided following the pitching session.
  • The 1-minute pitching must be pre-recorded using Panopto. The guideline for how to use Panopto is here.
